The Engramme collective

Engramme is structured and operates as a collective organisation, regrouping professional artists working in printmaking.

If you are a professional artist whose artistic approach is aimed at working on research in printmaking, by becoming an active member of Engramme, (regular or probationary), you will be able to work in all our studios (lithography, etching, screen printing, digital imaging and photography) and, depending on certain requirements, to participate in some of the program activities. You will also receive the in-house magazine “La Morsure” as well as invitations to different activities.

To request active membership you will need to submit the following:

• an up to date curriculum vitae
• a text describing your artistic approach
• a text outlining your reasons for becoming a member of Engramme
• 5 to 10 original fine art prints
• 15 to 20 slides of recent work (optional)
• a press file (optional)

If you are interested in printmaking and wish to be part of Engramme, you can become an “associate member” by sending a text describing your interest in our artists centre.

Active Member (regular or probationary)
Annual fee: $100.00
The majority of the professional artists in our collective organisation are active members. They participate in a significant way in the development of the creation and research in fine art printmaking with their production and by the diffusion of their work. They are also involved at different levels in the management of Engramme.

Honorary Member
No annual fee
This category aims at recognizing the exceptional contribution made by an artist in the development of fine art printmaking and our artists’ centre. Candidatures for this category can be proposed by members during the annual general meeting. Honorary members are named for life.

Active members, (regular and probationary), and honorary members have unlimited access to the studios and all services offered by our artists centre.

Associate Member
Annual fee: $35.00
Anyone interested in Engramme and printmaking can apply to become an associate member.
Associate members receive the in-house magazine “La Morsure” as well as invitations to different activities.

Occasionally, associate members may work in our studios after submitting a project and receiving the approbation of the Board of Directors.
