Engramme - Centre de production en estampe - diffusion en art actuel

Orientation

Engramme gives special attention to helping the creativity of members and invited artists in its studios. At Engramme, this creative activity turns around three axis : aesthetic renewal by advancing the investigation in different fields of traditional printmaking technics; the experimental artistic potential generated by manipulating new approaches or new tools ; the transposition in printmaking of artistic exploration developed in other disciplines or other fields of artistic practice. Its in this triple perspective that research and reflexion permits the evolution of fine art printmaking in the context of contemporary art.

Other than the residence programs for invited artists, several annual programs allow the support and development of members’ work in an on-going way : grants for perfecting technic and method, studio learning sessions, working opportunities and exchanges with other studios. To help integrate young artists in printmaking, Engramme also offers grants and bursuries and specifically orientated competitions.
