Avatar is dedicated to the research, creation, dissemination and circulation of audio and electronic artworks and artists. At Avatar, audio creation covers a vast field of activities ranging from the creation of listening devices and the invention of instruments to sound installation, performance, radio art and sound sculpture. Audio art intersects the fields of music, visual arts and poetry, opening up to hybrid forms of audible performance, sound excavations and acoustic environments. Avatar is also involved in the development of innovative software and electronic interface programming, as well as interactive and kinetic installation systems and telematic performances.
