In this “chiaroscuro” tale, loosely inspired by Samuel Beckett’s play Waiting for Godot and the work of painter Edward Hopper, impressionist cinematographic tableaux are revealed in a suspended time filled with humanity.
In the village of Saint-Casimir, a seniors’ residence is home to five people. At the heart of this closed-door setting, a parallel world develops. The hours pass slowly in a never-ending wait, punctuated by the presence of a televisor who intrudes into their world through the TV screen. Alternating between the sweetness of childhood memories and the presence of a mysterious creature that prowls the village streets, the story offers a reflection on life and death.
This screening will take place in the presence of the director.
