L’École expérimentale is a living laboratory of collective ideation, bringing together a cohort of artists, thinkers and cultural practitioners. A short, intensive program of workshops, excursions, discussions, interventions, installations, lectures and performances, the École expérimentale seeks to develop alternative, collective and artistic knowledge. As a school open to all and in touch with the public arena, it operates in the immediate area, while seeking to blend the knowledge and practices of artists from here and abroad.
Edition 2024
The 2024 edition of Nature vives tackles environmental issues through projects that renew our sensitivity to living and material forms. In the context of the École expérimentale, the notion of nature is reinvested by artists through plural and hybrid forms. Natures vives seeks to activate living forms, natural materials as much as industrial waste or residues, to give them back their own agentivity and undeniable vitality. This project is being carried out in partnership with the Maison pour la danse, which will be hosting the École expérimentale from October 30 to November 3. This partnership is an opportunity to orient this programming towards a hybridization of material and embodied practices.
