Logan Girard’s open studio at Engramme

Winner of the Prix de la Relève universitaire de l’Université Laval 2025, Logan Girard presents a residency project based on three axes: the integration of ASCII art, page layout and learning ecoresponsible printmaking. The residency enabled the artist to familiarize himself with the electrogravure process and adapt it to his practice, which often explores the intersection between silkscreen and etching. As writing is an important part of her approach, the integration of ascii art allows the text to become the image and modify it. Finally, a central element of his practice, Logan experiments with the size of papers and the placement of the image on them.
