Day 1: Explanation of screen-printing possibilities and presentation of examples; Degreasing of screens; Explanation of photomechanical clichage; Printing technique demonstration; Explanation of filler and possibilities; Application of photosensitive emulsion to screen by each participant.
Day 2: Must have materials list; Must have 2 8 1⁄2 x 11 images to create silkscreen stencil (8 1⁄2 x 11 photocopies or drawings on very opaque acetate, India ink or gouache ); Paper cut according to registration methods; Screens exposed on light table; Drying; Participants’ first printing test. First color pass.
Day 3: Explanation of various registration methods to create an edition. Repetition of previous information and additional color passes, experimentation on different papers, finalization of the creative project. Screen cleaning.
