Residency: K-DIALECTICS by Bomi Yook at La Bande Vidéo

K-DIALECTICS is a multidisciplinary archival project that explores the violent legacy of Japanese colonialism within Korean diasporic memory through a photo-textile installation and experimental animation.
Bomi will devote her residency to pursuing this second aspect of the project, shooting a series of short crumpled-paper animations in the studio. These sequences will aim to enrich the visual language of her short film with experimental effects and a handmade aesthetic, while evoking abstract concepts, transitory moments or emotional upheavals.
