The Israeli-Palestinian wall, Belfast’s Peace Lines and the wall separating the United States from Mexico become focal points for a reflection on contemporary borders and their global impact. Through a captivating, hard-hitting visual language, Martin Bureau highlights the human, political and economic impact of these walls on the communities that inhabit or suffer them. The artist approaches the theme of walls both as symbols of division and as concrete manifestations of hegemonic power.
