On the occasion of the Marginal festival, initiated by À l’est de vos empires, Avatar opens its studio doors for a weekend, inviting the public to discover L’ouïe, Louis, l’oui, a sound oratorio by the Bruit TTV collective. Exploring the hybrid forms of audible performance, sound excavation and literature, this work pays tribute to Louis Ouellet, philosopher, sound artist, long-time member of Avatar and founder of Bruit TTV. Through this work, the collective honors the creative spirit and legacy of the man who left his mark.
This work is a crossing, a sonic and collective passage that invites the listener to plunge into the strata of a space where absence becomes presence. By exploring Louis Ouellet’s artistic legacy, TTV echoes his spirit of freedom and research, perpetuating his influence within the community and paving the way for those who follow.
