In this hard-hitting autofiction, Afro-French author Penda Diouf flies to Namibia, where her “little” story meets the big one, where learning to dominate is not a matter of “I”, but of “we”. Inspired by decolonial thought, and surrounded by a team almost entirely made up of racialized women, director Natalie Fontalvo combines performance art, live music, textile art and video installation to make the Afrodescendant body resonate. A real and figurative body, its wounds, its scars, its perpetual quest for light.
