Ville Jacques-Carton by Jean-Marc E. Roy and André Forcier
📅 Release on September 5, 2025
SPIRA and Papier-Brique present Ville Jacques-Carton, a feature documentary written and directed by Jean-Marc E. Roy and André Forcier. The film will open in theaters across Quebec on September 5.
Synopsis
Facing ruthless concrete and a corrupt developer, a poet rises up as the last rampart against oblivion, like a Gaul defying Caesar. He gathers the voices of the past, revives memories, and weaves an ode to the working-class heritage of Ville Jacques-Cartier—a haven once filled with hope and struggle. In its streets, the shadows of labor still whisper, remnants of a bygone era, a fragile spark of memory threatened by the greed of the present.
