
This course is an introduction to the basics and techniques of black & white development. Ideal for learning under supervision or revisiting the basics of black & white developing.
Steps and techniques covered:
Fundamentals of silver film;
Film spiralization;
Preparation and mixing of chemistries;
Time and development ;
Proper film drying;
Negative archiving and chemistry conservation.
Material
Participants should arrive at the course with a black and white film already exposed and ready to be developed.

The registration fee includes 4 hours’ use of the Hasselblad Flextight X5 high-resolution scanner, worth $80, to be used before February 2025;
Please note that outside of this course, the darkroom is available free of charge for film processing, and the cost of the chemistries required is $6.20 per film!
